Bolivar Supervision After Release
The Bolivar Probation & Parole Office serves as a local MDOC Community Corrections contact. A person may reach community supervision after parole from a prison term, placement on earned-release supervision, a court sentence of probation, post-release supervision, house arrest, or another MDOC-managed status. These labels have different legal sources and should not be collapsed into “parole.”
Presence under Community Corrections can corroborate that a person is outside institutional custody while still under MDOC authority. It does not prove the date or time that the person physically left Bolivar County Correctional Facility. For that event, obtain the facility release or movement record. For the supervision term, use the MDOC record, court order, Parole Board action, and public office response that match the same MDOC number.
| Status | Who creates it | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Parole | Mississippi State Parole Board | Conditional release from a prison term |
| Probation | Sentencing court | Community sentence or suspended-sentence condition |
| ERS | MDOC under earned-time law | Release before expiration while inmate status continues |
| Post-release supervision | Sentencing court | Court-ordered supervision after custody |
| Discharge | Controlling authority | End of the sentence or supervision obligation |
Verify Bolivar Supervision Status
Use the MDOC number when available. It is more durable than a name and helps separate people with similar identities. Have the legal name and date of birth ready, but request only public status and office routing. Do not seek a residence, reporting schedule, treatment details, victim information, case-plan notes, or other private field data.
- Search the separate Parolees Search tab on the MDOC home page by MDOC number or name.
- Compare the result with known identity and sentence information.
- Call the Bolivar office and ask whether it can confirm public status or identify another supervising office.
- For parole, request the actual action from the Mississippi State Parole Board.
- For probation or post-release supervision, obtain the sentencing or supervision order from the correct court.
- For the physical jail exit, obtain the facility release or movement entry.
The broader distinctions between local and state custody are also covered in the Bolivar County release-record search.
Bolivar Office Contact Details
The local office publishes unusually concrete routing information. Use the live MDOC page before visiting because leadership and administrative details can change. The office may disclose only a limited public status. Provide enough identifiers for an accurate match, then allow staff to explain whether another Community Corrections office has jurisdiction.

A telephone response is not the same as a certified discharge or court order. If a durable document is needed, request the public MDOC offender data sheet, release authorization, supervision placement where public, discharge certificate, or movement/status entries through the MDOC public-records route. MDOC requires written public-record requests rather than accepting them by telephone.
Bolivar Parole Decision Records
The Mississippi State Parole Board is separate from MDOC. A tentative hearing means review is scheduled. A grant means the Board approved parole, but neither entry proves that the person has physically left a prison. MDOC must still resolve detainers, release plans, sentence calculations, and other prerequisites. Denial, continuance, deferral, rescission, and revocation affect the path differently.
No official public named-offender hearing calendar or decisions database was located. Use the official Board directory and contact the Board with the name and MDOC number to ask how to obtain tentative hearing information or an action sheet. MDOC sends a monthly internal list of parole-eligible people to the Board, but that does not create a monthly public docket.

Eligibility is only the opening of a decision path. Mississippi Code sections 47-7-3 and 47-7-3.1 apply through sentence-specific rules, dates, offense classifications, and exclusions. The actual Board action and MDOC release processing control the result.
Bolivar ERS Release Meaning
Earned-release supervision is not the same as full discharge. Mississippi Code section 47-5-138 provides that a person released before sentence expiration under the earned-time framework remains an inmate under MDOC jurisdiction until expiration. Physical freedom from a prison building can therefore coexist with continued legal custody and Community Corrections oversight.
The public MDOC detail uses the label Tentative Release Date. MDOC warns that ERS and parole dates are not guaranteed. A case manager can provide the inmate with a timesheet that addresses ERS eligibility, and the final release process follows review of plans and other requirements. Do not calculate a certain date from the public field alone.
- Tentative date
- A current MDOC estimate that can change.
- Eligibility
- The point at which review may occur, not a promise of release.
- Detainer
- A request or legal basis for another authority to take custody.
- Revocation
- Withdrawal of a community status after the controlling process.
Bolivar Office Source View
The official MDOC office page supplies the local address, direct telephone number, fax, and current agency context.

The image supports contact routing for public supervision questions. It does not expose a named person’s reporting details or certify the original date of release.
Bolivar Warrants And Absconders
No authoritative Bolivar-specific online absconder or warrant list was found. A supervision violation, bench warrant, and absconder designation are different events. A violation alleges that a supervision rule was not met. A bench warrant is a court command. An absconder label concerns a loss of contact under the governing process. One should not be substituted for another.
Absence from a public page does not prove that no warrant or action exists. Check the court docket, MDOC Community Corrections, and the law-enforcement agency responsible for a known warrant. Ask for the public status and source document, not field-agent notes or location details. If custody has resumed, confirm the new custodian rather than assuming the Bolivar office still controls.
Note: A public supervision search can lag and should be paired with the current court or agency record.
Bolivar Supervision Discharge Records
Supervision ends through the authority that imposed or administered it. A probation term may end under a court order or satisfaction entry. Parole and ERS status are tied to the state sentence and MDOC records. A discharge certificate or official status entry is more durable than an old search result.
For a record request, identify the MDOC number, date of birth, and a narrow date range. Ask for the offender data sheet, public release authorization, supervision placement, discharge certificate, and public chronological movement or status entries. MDOC may redact medical, security, victim, protected identifier, and other exempt content. Accepting redaction often produces the useful public core more efficiently.
Compare the supervision record with the sentence and any later revocation or amended order. A person can finish institutional custody yet remain supervised, or finish supervision and become fully discharged. Use the exact label in the source instead of calling every community status parole.
Bolivar Release Record Reconciliation
A local supervision result should be reconciled with the record that caused it. For parole, match the Board action to the MDOC number, then confirm that release processing finished. For probation, match the sentencing order and case number to the Community Corrections status. For ERS, retain the tentative date, timesheet information where public, release authorization, and final MDOC status. These records can carry different dates because eligibility, approval, physical exit, and supervision intake are distinct events.
When a record conflicts, ask the agency that created the disputed field to review it. MDOC Records controls its offender and discharge entries. The sentencing court controls its order. The Parole Board controls its action sheet. The Bolivar office can route a public status question but should not be asked to correct another custodian’s source document. A certified court order plus MDOC discharge or supervision confirmation is stronger than an isolated search screenshot.
